My Experience
I have been working in the mental health field in East London for 16 years.

I have been a MBACP registered counsellor for 10 years and a UKCP registered psychotherapist since 2011. As well having a private practice I have worked with a diverse wide ranging client group in a number of private and public service settings including within secondary education, for the NHS, both in primary and secondary health care, and EAPs.

I have worked as an integrative arts psychotherapist for the East London NHS FT since 2011. The art forms my HCPC training enables me to use comprise: visual arts, poetry; drama/puppetry; sculpture/clay; music; sand play; bodywork/movement.

I offer individual and group art therapy to clients with severe mental health issues. I work both in the community as part of a secondary specialist psychotherapy resources unit, and also in an acute psychiatric day hospital.

As part of my role within the NHS I supervise and mentor trainee art therapists, and co-facilitate group art therapy workshops for art therapy students. I am a school governor, a member of the HCPC Fitness to Practice panel and a family panel magistrate. Before I began working in the mental health and well-being sector I worked in business publishing for 20 years.
